Hanna-Pirita was born in a tiny village called Ikkeläjärvi in the Finnish countryside. The population of the village was only 150 people and because most of them were elderly, all Hanna-Pirita was able to do was to draw comics. It was a lucky coincidence that she happened to love comics, and here she is still making them!
Hanna-Pirita’s comics are all about diversity. She loves to use humor in her stories to convey positive messages. Most of her comics are queer themed and have many characters of different genders and sexualities. Hanna-Pirita has also been using comics in activism and she blogs about feminist and anti-racist issues in her Finnish comic blog.
Hanna-Pirita is always interested in doing interviews and talking about possible collaborations. To contact Hanna-Pirita, please send her an email in hanna.pirita.
